It was supposed to be a brown simple bag


Fuck branding. For the noisy packaging campaign to be trashed after quick minutes of consumption. All the poisonous ink to go into the environment, all the energy wasted. Even if we consider purely aesthetically, this design is nothing to be proud of, a (possibly attempted) resemblance to Japanese or Taiwanese style, wherever, not original, not related. Loud, to make every customer a billboard, make everyone a product.

I witnessed the evolution of this shop, from when it started off as a small one-man store. Then it became big, huge and across the city. Women workers came in the branches. They're made to work in literally a few square-feet, all day, crowded and extremely hot beside heating pans. At least they're smiling and talking, quite entertained by each other, that makes me less sad.

By the way, I miss eggettes sold by the old mister with his cart on the street, when street snacks were street snacks.
